Otto Nordström

Origami has perhaps more than it's fair share of eccentrics. Many remain undiscovered, known and appreciated by the lucky few. One such is Otto Nordström, origami master, savant, iconoclast and dreamer.

In the late 1970's, Paul Jackson (then editor of the BOS magazine) managed to make brief contact with the reclusive folder and published some infuriatingly brief extracts of his work. Typically enough, Otto quickly broke contact again. After years of effort, we have managed to track him down to his studio in deepest Finland and he has agreed to share a few of his thoughts and designs. To begin with, we have gained permission to reproduce his series of revaatory articles from the BOS archives.
